“On the Road” seminar scheduled for March 1, 2019
December 13, 2018

Kevin Rund is bringing his popular “On the Road” program back to Carmi in February. Kevin will be presenting his program on March 1st at the White County Farm Bureau in Carmi at 12:00 p.m.

Rund’s program will be a two-hour seminar (including a meal) that focuses on trucking laws—old and new—specifically for farmers. We’ll remind you of rules that apply to different farming scenarios and help you identify means of relief, using real-life examples to illustrate how regulations affect farmers.

Throughout it all, you'll have the chance to ask those farm trucking questions that everyone seems to have an opinion about, but no one can agree on an answer.

Trucking laws have been reshaped in recent years with more changes scheduled for 2019. Rules affected include farmer exemptions, Harvest Season Emergency permit, CDL drug testing, longer trucks on local roads, UCR, hazardous material restrictions, and more.

Presenting the seminar will be Kevin Rund and Kirby Wagner who specialize in farm transportation issues for the Illinois Farm Bureau. And you’ll receive take-home materials covering these topics.

The seminar is free courtesy of the White County Farm Bureau and Illinois Farm Bureau, but advance registration is requested. Please contact the White County Farm Bureau at 618-382-8512 to RSVP for the event.
